The BHPEM School focuses on the process of experiential learning with a guided reflection for heightened self-awareness. We design and conduct customized development programs to provide individual and group assessments and follow up with remedial follow-up training. The fundamental ideals of our school curriculum derive their power, from keeping up with the trends in 21st century and educational transformations across the globe. Academic Celebrations

1. Talent’s Day: As a welcome for newcomers to the school, a talent show is organized to provide a platform for the students to showcase their talents.
2. Investiture Ceremony: We always strive to provide our students with the best experience in every learning area. We introduce the first taste of democracy and leadership through student council elections. The elected members have their badges pinned on during the Investiture Ceremony. This is where our school appoints its Student Council for the year, consisting of 26 office bearers and eight Prefects.
3. Independence Day: Independence Day is celebrated on 15th August to commemorate the nation’s independence. The tri-color flag is hoisted, and a salute is given through a march-past parade.
4. Kannada Rajyotsava: Celebrated on 1st November every year, this day aims to create awareness about the state’s rich cultural heritage, its varied history, and the valor of our great rulers. It is also a day to commemorate the formation of the state.
5. Republic Day: Republic Day is celebrated in school every year on 26th January to honor the Constitution of India.
6. Valedictory: Valedictory is a day to bid goodbye to our outgoing batch of Class X and a time to wish them great luck for their future. Every year on this day, Sharadha Pooja is conducted to seek the blessings of the Goddess of Knowledge for successful academic and career growth.

Text Books-the school in its endeavor to reduce the burden of carrying overloaded bags and to incorporate technology in education has decided to move away from physical textbooks to digital ones. The books will be available on the tab which will host lesson plans, activities, assignments, home learning activities, project work, diary, formative assessment, Micro-schedule, test schedules, etc. Our content is strictly per the NCF (National curriculum framework) and our practices align with National Education Policy 2020. Lesson Plans & Micro schedule –

The academic year commences with the formulation of the event calendar, building the curricula, developing lesson plans, micro schedule, test schedule, etc.

Micro Schedules are an exhaustive tabulation of content. to be taught in every session during an academic year. We break down information into topical, bite-sized chunks, not only making it easier for the learner to absorb the content but also resulting in better learning. By formulating objectives, we record the progress of daily classroom activities. A specially designed teaching lesson plan is introduced with an emphasis on the in-depth coverage of the syllabus.

The lesson plan involves a warm-up activity, which introduces the topic followed by an explanation/lesson of the point to be covered. The teachers devise a few activities that allow students to practice the target point, preferably through a mix of skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing). What’s more, these courses are interactive and fun, which means learners enjoy completing the learning content. We map out teaching strategies and methods for all the subjects and topics. We evaluate the effectiveness of the teaching strategy in terms of learning outcomes. Our schedule is tailor-made to the requirement of individual students for subjects and skills that need intervention.

We have designed varied Assessment methods to suit different learning styles. Summative and formative assessments may be modified to suit the individual needs of the student, Inclusive/remedial assessment will be recorded as a basis for evaluation of all the essential skill development (Thinking, Research, Communication, Social, and Self-Management skills.)

At BHPEMS, we assess the prior learning of students, differentiate instructions, identify students’ strengths and weaknesses, and the gaps they may have in their learning of skills.

Our Teachers assist in setting targets for students, in various grades and subject specializations. We provide feedback to students on their learning and keep parents informed about the progress of their child’s learning. Our assessment process will be ongoing and continuous, Teachers and students will be constantly involved in assessing teaching and learning. Formative assessment will occur during the progression of a unit of inquiry, on completion of topics, or at pre-designated phases in the inquiry cycle. A summative assessment will be conducted at the end of each unit. It will report card at the end of each periodic Test and Term examination on pre-established parameters for all domains of learning including the extra-curricular areas. include evaluation of all concepts, skills, learner profiles, attitudes, and themes introduced through the unit. The classrooms are equipped with smart boards and Audio equipment to share and collaborate. The virtual classrooms are set up for enriching learning experience with screen-sharing and virtual whiteboard features which facilitated online learning during the pandemic.
